Comments: Formerly practiced criminal defense but now defend civil (insurance defense) cases. Haven't lost feeling of indignation at our criminal "justice" system's waste of resources, though. In the name of a "war" on drugs in lieu of a war for self respect, we've created an expanding law enforcement and penal industry, a lack of political courage, an emasculated Bill of Rights, and a huge social subset of the arrested - and thus often unemployable in meaningful careers - who are all the more likely to resort to o her crimes at some time. This without even philosophysing on how much violent and property crime - that from which "good citizens" should be protected - is likely related to the illegality of inanimate substances and the lack of resources to divert people from the addiction/crime cycle. To say nothing of financing corruption abroad. Liked the web page, too. Keep up the good work...and the good lawyer jokes! If you haven't done so yet, try the Suwannee from White Springs, Fl. to Suwannee River State Park so e time in late fall through early spring. Springs, leaf changes, high banks (sand and limestone) and solitude - especially once you get out of earshot of I-75. Look for "Disappearing Creek" on river right about 1/2 way through 2d day out of White Springs. It looks like a little spring from the river but from up on the bank, past an identifying sign on the Florida trail which parallels the river here, it seems like a walk in the woods of north Georgia, with sinks and cascades...and a disappeariing creek. Best of luck.
